This series comprises individual copies of photographs that appeared in the 1982 Northwestern University annual, the (Volume 98). The series includes only a partial amount of the photographs that appeared in Volume 98. It does not include photographs appearing on pages before 190 (Academic, Shoot Yourself, and Entertainment sections), senior class portraits (pages 366-417), photographs appearing on pages after 417 (Excess section), and all color photographs. (The University Archives holds a complete set of 1982 senior portraits as they appeared in the see Series 75/31/7.) The photographs are printed mainly on eight inch-by-ten inch photographic paper but the dimensions of the actual images vary. The published forms of these images often are cropped to different dimensions than those of the original photographs The photographs are arranged sequentially into folders according to the page numbers of the on which they appeared. Each photograph is identified on the back by a page number. The should be consulted as a finding aid for specific photographs as well as an index to staff photographers.
